The Candy Shop is one of LULU Copenhagen’s most successful retail concepts.
We sell our earrings one at a time, and this opens up for a space where customers can be creative.
Collectables
Many of our returning customers are collecting our ear studs and they like to add new ones now and then to freshen up their look.

Pre-packed jewelry boxes
The earrings in the Candy Shop concept comes pre-packed in small, square cardboard boxes with a sleeve carrying a barcode and all necessary information to make it easy to handle and display.

Styling idea: Mix your new jewelry with your old ones to easily create a new look.
Styling idea: Mix one small earring with a large one to create a new look or use 2 different ones in the same ear.
Common questions answered
“Why is there only one earring in each box? I’m used to get a pair!”
This is a common question and the main reason is to make it possible to only buy one, which many prefers. If you want a pair, just buy 2 similar.
“Why is the box so big for such a small earring?”
The most important reason is that you should keep all your jewelry away of sunlight as much as possible to prolong the life of it. We always recommend to use your jewelry box and the zip bag as a container when you’re not wearing your jewelry.
The second reason is that some of our earrings are small, some a large and they all need to fit in the same box.
Materials
We design everything ourselves and produce all our jewellery south of Hong Kong on a large production facility with the help from a Danish sourcer and a local quality inspector.
Our use of materials is very broad and we compose what to use the design, the size and the price in mind.
We work with many materials – 925 Sterling Silver, 18 Carat gold plating, gold and silver plating on brass, silver or stainless steel and lots of variations of stones, pearls, crystals and enamel colors.

Maintenance
Unfortunately, it is not possible to predict how long the plating will last – it is determined by various factors; pH of your skin, exposure to chemicals (perfume, hair spray, nail polish, soap etc.), grease, high temperatures, amount of sweat and general use. You can always go to your local goldsmith and get your jewelry re-plated.
You can generally expect surfaces to wear faster on rings and bracelets as they are more exposed to different contact surfaces and objects than, for example, earrings. We therefore recommend that you remove your jewelry when washing your hands, playing sports, showering, cleaning, using hand sanitizer and when working with physical objects, as they can scratch and damage your jewelry.
Also, generally keep them away from chemicals and lotions as they can damage the surfaces. A piece of jewelry should always be wiped down if it has become greasy with a soft cloth and a small drop of water before storing.
Oxidation is a natural process in metal and it will always occur at some point depending on use, storage, skin pH, use of medication, illness, etc. You can always try cleaning your jewelry with Sterling silver cleaner according to the cleaning product’s instructions. Oxidation and tarnish is not a reason for a complaint, as it is a process that will always occur naturally in metal. If you haven’t taken your earrings out for a long period of time, some people will find that the studs themselves have become black from oxidation. Again, this is completely natural and not dangerous and you can still wear them.
Earring locks
We recommend that you inform the buyer to adjust the lock so that it does not become loose with frequent use. This is easily done by squeezing the 2 loops together with your fingers and testing if there is more resistance when reattaching it to the earring.
If a piece of jewelry breaks in the soldering within a short period of time, it is considered a manufacturing defect. If the enamel falls off without any impact or special use – and it is clear that the jewelry is otherwise not particularly used and worn – it is also considered a manufacturing defect.
If a chain breaks, it will not be considered a manufacturing defect, as chains are very delicate and can in no way withstand tension. Bracelets and necklaces must therefore be protected by the owner, who must be careful not to get get the chain “caught” on a hard item.
Circling products on display
Remember to sometimes sell the earrings, bracelets etc. which are on display, in order to keep a flow and prevent display pieces from tarnishing and looking pale.
Also please remember to polish them and keep them clean.
